I was diagnosed positive for Chlamydia 4 months ago…

I was diagnosed positive for Chlamydia 4 months ago. I was treated with a onetime use powder mix. The burning while peeing did not go away and I went back for another test. I took the same onetime use powder stuff, but was told my results were negative for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Again the burning did not go away, so I went back for a third test but this time I was given Doxycycline 100MG which I took properly. I was told negative for both infections again, but the burning though much duller is currently still there when I pee.

Also during all this I have not been sexually active. So question #1 – what is going on with this and what can I do?

Question #2 – Three months ago after I was told I was negative I very slightly and for less than two seconds inserted myself into a female who I KNOW IS CLEAN. I don’t want to say anything to her unless I have to. Since she hasn’t had any symptoms I’d like to think she didn’t catch anything, is that a possibility?

Thanks Doc

you were treated with Zithromax powder and Doxycycline Hyclate, both for Chlamydia.  So Chlamydia should be well and done, unless you have a particular resistant form of Chlamydia.

You may want to consider also being tested for Trichomonas vaginalis which requires a different type of antibiotics.

I would make your new partner aware of the situation and have her tested also.

Be well.
